Our training programs are customized to your needs and
goals taking into account your age, existing health, current level of daily

which are all determined during an initial fitness assessment and
evaluation.
Slow Motion Strength
Training
At Genesis, we use a
slow-motion strength training principle delivered through a series
of bio-mechanically precise Nautilus exercise machines specifically designed to
target, isolate, and strengthen all the major muscle groups of the body.
These exercise machines are designed to reduce friction and compensate for
variations in leverage.
As a result, the machines' resistance changes to work
with your natural body movements. These features not only protect
muscles and joints from injury, but they also enable clients to build muscle
mass more quickly and perform at peak levels.
Each strength exercise focuses on
deliberately slow, controlled repetitions, correct body motion and
form. Your muscles do 100% of the work-with no help or cheating
by using the weight's own momentum. Under your trainer's supervision, you
continue working into the deepest muscle fibers to achieve momentary muscle
fatigue.
Unlike the typical gym scene where exercisers are working
multiple sets on each machine, you work just one set to completely stimulate (or
fatigue) a specific muscle group. A total of eight different exercises
give you a total-body workout accomplished in 20-30
minutes.
As you move between exercises, your trainer helps
you adjust each machine to conform to your body's size and shape.
Using these techniques any person, of any age can safely take advantage of the
many benefits of high intensity weight training.

Aerobic Activity... Exercise Smarter Not Harder!
At Genesis Personal
Fitness®, we view aerobic activity as an extension of the
cardiovascular endurance developed during the strength exercise portion of our
program. Aerobic exercise, also known as 'cardiovascular' exercise,
is characterized by continuous large muscle activity such as cycling or brisk
walking. This exercise stimulates a variety of beneficial
cardiovascular adaptations, and if performed properly is an important
factor in "burning" excess stored calories on our bodies called body fat.
We recommend that each client performs an Exercise Assessment (active metabolic
testing). To get the best results from your
'cardiovascular' exercise, is it is important to know the correct
intensity that will provide the optimum sustainable burn of fat and calories,
improve your fitness level and your lifestyle performance. Active
metabolic testing identifies your optimal exercise intensity level.
By exercising at your correct heart rate frequency,
intensity and duration you'll achieve your weight loss and fitness goals
faster.

Programs are available in a (small) group training or a
one-on-one personal training basis. All programs begin with an
Initial Consultation, a physical assessment including a weight/body fat
analysis. Resting and active metabolism testing (optional) is
recommended.
A typical exercise schedule is three sessions
weekly consisting of 30-minutes of strength training followed by 30 minutes of
cardiovascular and flexibility exercise. A Genesis Personal
